Museum Zervos : Picasso, Léger and all the others

  • A collection of modern art (1925-1965)

Who would have thought that Vézelay harbours a museum of modern art where Picasso hangs next to Kandinsky, Braque, Léger, Hélion and many others. Where the mobiles of Calder dance from the ceiling next to a bronze of Giacometti, and where the prehistoric sculptures of the Cyclades live shoulder to shoulder with the ceramics of Picasso?

This beautiful museum of contemporary art, located in the former home of the late author Romain-Rolland, is really worth visiting.

The view from the beautiful windows overlooks the magnificent panorama of the village of St. Père and its beautiful church, the valley of the river Cure and the Parc du Morvan.
